Submit an Article


The Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment & Technology Law welcomes article submissions in all areas of entertainment and technology law, but especially in the areas of sports, television and movies, music, and the internet.

We encourage submissions from both academic and professional authors.


Article Conventions

JETLaw prefers to publish articles that are 12,000-18,000 words in length (excluding citations), but in extraordinary circumstances, we will consider articles outside of this range.

Please note that JETLaw conforms to the Chicago Manual of Style (16th ed. 2010). Citations are in footnotes, rather than endnotes, and conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (20th ed. 2015).

Additionally, if you plan to submit any image in color, please also submit copies of the image in black and white using both .tiff and .jpeg formats.

Article Submission

JETLaw accepts submissions through ExpressO, Scholastica, emails sent to (attach as a Word document), and postal mail. All submissions or inquiries regarding the submission of an article should be sent to the attention of the Senior Articles Editor.
